| Five years ago my wife and I moved to Apache Junction from Phoenix, and we are now raising our two small children in this wonderful town. The outdoor life appeals to all of us, and we take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy the excellent weather, hiking, state parks, camping and horse riding. | |
I am able to play golf on a selection of great courses and my wife loves to run on the local trails. In the early spring she often runs in the local marathon, which starts with campfires in the desert as the participants watch the sun rise. In the summer we enjoy the concerts outdoors in the local park (with a picnic!) and the 4th of July fireworks display is a great event and place to go with your neighbors. |

You can watch the gunfights, tour the mines and drink in the saloon. We're looking forward to taking our kids there when they are a little older, since it is a place that really appeals to children. |

Apache Junction is also a great place to go to college - Northern Arizona University and Central Arizona College have campuses in town and the students take advantage of the shops, restaurants and various things to do. |
